Bus Driver Killed In Accident At Panthangi Toll Plaza

Choutuppal: A bus driver was killed in a road accident took place at the Panthangi toll plaza near the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway in Choutuppal Mandal of the Yadadri district on Tuesday.

Going into the details, an RTC Super Luxury Deluxe bus belonging to the Vijayawada depot was heading from Vijayawada to Hyderabad. The bus rammed into another vehicle near the Panthangi toll plaza. In this incident, the bus driver, Srinivasa Rao succumbed to death on the spot.

Ten other passengers traveling in the bus sustained severe injuries in the accident. The locals witnessing the mishap alerted the police immediately and the injured were rushed to the Choutuppal area hospital.

The police informed that Srinivasa Rao belonged to Krishna district and have registered a case in this regard. They are investigating the CCTV footage at the Toll Plaza to identify the vehicle which caused the accident.
