No Truth To KCR’s Allegations: Dattatreya
Hyderabad: Condemning the comments made by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao during the campaign in Ramagundam, senior BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the NTPC Ramagundam Power Plant Project in 2016. He further added that the project was completed in record time due to the contribution of Rs 11,500 crore offered by the Central government to Telangana.
Dattatreya flayed KCR for not thanking PM Modi and claiming that not a single rupee was provided to the State by the Centre in the last five years.
Stating that the Prime Minister launched the project and his intervention helped the project completion in record time, the BJP leader said that it is unfortunate that KCR does not give due credit to Modi.
Dattatreya also said that the 1,600 MW of electricity from the NTPC is entirely being utilized only by Telangana. He questioned the reason behind the 4,000 MW Adarsh and 1,080 MW Bhadradri Plant works taken up the Chief Minister progressing at a slow pace. Stating that there is no truth in KCR's claims regarding the revamping of FCI, he said that KCR had ample number of chances to revamp the FCI when he was a Union Minister but didn’t choose to do so, hence it is not right for him to blame the Central government in this regard.
Dattatreya said that the BJP-led NDA had enabled the grounding of several projects in the state and cited the Centre's sponsored Rs 48,000 crore flagship schemes of Mission Bhagiratha and Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS).
