Hyderabad Metro Services Extended Till 1 AM For IPL Final
Hyderabad: With the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) scheduled at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on May 12, the city police are making the necessary arrangements for vehicle parking and pedestrian movement. Chennai Super Kings will be facing off Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2019 final at 7.30 pm in the Uppal stadium.
A massive force of 500 personnel have been deployed by the Hyderabad Traffic police to keep the traffic flowing. 300 traffic personnel are deployed in and around Ramanthapur, Habsiguda, Nagole, and Kachiguda routes as the crowd is expected to move towards the stadium via these routes. Traffic restrictions will be implemented at LG Godown from Ramanthapur road and at Ek minar from Habsiguda towards the stadium.
Keeping in view of the heavy passenger rush for the final, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is providing the commuters extended rail service for the IPL final match. The Metro Rail will be operating late night services and run till 1 AM on the day of the IPL final.
Apart from this, the security in and around the stadium has been increased with special command and control centres installed to monitor CCTV footage. Special teams and SHE Teams are also deployed during the match proceedings.
