Telangana Govt Special Permission To Muslim Staff During Ramzan

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has given special permission for the Muslim employees to leave offices early by an hour during the holy month of Ramzan. The TRS government on Monday issued a circular in this regard. The festival begins from May 7.

In the circular, Chief Secretary Dr Shailendra Kumar Joshi said the government has permitted “all its employees belonging to Muslim religion, including teachers and outsourcing staff members working in government offices, to leave their offices/schools at 4 pm on all working days during the holy month of Ramzan, from May 7 to June 4, to perform necessary rituals".

The circular, however exempted for the employees whose presence is ‘required due to exigencies of services during the said period’.

The Andhra Pradesh government also issued orders permitting Muslim employees to leave their work places early by one hour in the evening during the Ramzan month.
