TS Inter Results Blunder: Congress MLA Jagga Reddy Demands Action Against Officials
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has come under the scanner of the Opposition parties over the negligence of the Board Of Intermediate Education (BIE). Several errors in awarding marks and preparation of mark-sheets have come to light since the Board released the results on April 18.
The negligence has resulted in the deaths of more than 17 students across the state. Following this, the Telangana Congress leaders are demanding that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy should be sacked for these lapses, pointing out that it is the government's failure.
Students and parents took to protests across the state over the issue. Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Congress MLA Jagga Reddy responded to the controversy and said that the students and parents are distressed over the negligence of the officials in this matter.
Demanding the Chief Minister to resolve the issue at the earliest, Jagga Reddy further urged immediate action against the officials who were involved in the goof-ups caused in the Intermediate results.
The Congress MLA also demanded Rs 25 lakh financial assistance to the families of every student who the extreme step upon learning that they failed in the examination.
