LB Nagar Woman Delivers Baby On Road

A 20-year-old went into labour and almost immediately delivered a baby boy on the Roads of LB Nagar on Saturday. She was on the way to the hospital when this occurred.

Meramma (20) who was nine months pregnant, was a resident of Abdullapurmet with her husband Rambabu, who is a daily wage labourer. Meramma visited the Area Hospital where they found her to be Anemic and referred her to Gandhi hospital as Gandhi had a central blood bank.

While on her way to Gandhi she went into labour and the pains started to kick in. Her husband asked her to sit down to the side of the road and ran to get her an auto. However, she had given birth to the baby boy on the road.

Pedestrians who noticed the scene called for the GVK-EMRI 108, that reached the scene in 5 minutes and cut the umbilical cord.

Both the mother and the baby are stable.
