Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the data theft case has picked up the pace in its investigation and has issued final notices to the IT Grids India Private Limited CEO, Ashok Dakavaram, who is absconding in the case.
So far, the police issued three notices to Ashok on March 2, 11 and 16 but he failed to appear before the investigating officer (IO). A notice was also affixed to Ashok's house at Vidhura Vihar in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony on March 11.
It reportedly came to be known that Ashok, who fled after the data theft case first reached Vijayawada and later went to Guntur where he is reported to have made phone calls to a few officials and senior politicians in Andhra Pradesh.
With him fleeing to Andhra Pradesh from Telangana, the police are finding it difficult to trace his whereabouts. Hence, they issued public notices through promotional methods (some English newspapers). It was made clear in the notice that Ashok should appear before the SIT office in Goshamahal within three days after the announcement in connection with the case.
The announcement was made by Special Investigation Team Chief Stephen(SIT) Ravindra. Based on the Ashok's response for this public notice, the SIT will take the next steps.
