Amrutha Will Get Govt Job, Double Bedroom House: Telangana Govt
Miryalaguda: The Telangana government has finally come to the rescue of Amrutha, wife of murdered Dalit youth Pranay. On Thursday, Telangana caretaker minister Jagadish Reddy visited Pranay's family at their home here, and announced compensation to Amrutha. Speaking to media here, the minister said that the State government would provide a government job to Amrutha and a double bedroom would be allocated to the family.
Jagadish Reddy handed over a cheque for Rs 4 lakh to Amrutha, towards initial payment of the Rs 8.25 lakh immediate financial support to Pranay's family.
Earlier in the week, Telangana caretaker IT minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) responded in a tweet following the ghastly murder of Pranay. KTR assured the family that justice would be done and the State government would take care of Amrutha.
Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, TRS MLA Gadari Kishore, Superintendent of Police AV Ranganath and District Collector Gaurav Uppal accompanied the minister.
