Hyderabadi Lynched in Bidar, Mistaken For Child-Lifter

Hyderabad: An MNC employee of Hyderabad suspected to be a child-lifter lynched by a clan in Bidar on Saturday. According to police, the victim was identified as Mohammed Azam. He along with his two friends was traveling to Murki village near Bidar. The three of them stopped on the way at a village for refreshment.

While taking a halt in Balkut Tanda for some tea, they spotted some school children. Ismail, one among the three, who recently returned from Qatar, reportedly offered chocolates to the school children.

On seeing this the local people thought that they were child abductors and began attacking them. The three tried to explain the situation to them but nothing stopped the people from continuing their attack.

The three managed to leave the place, but before they could travel much far, their photographs were circulated on social media group, after which they were stopped on the road by yet another mob and attacked brutally with boulders which ultimately lead to Azam’s death on the spot.

On hearing about the incident the police reached the spot and rescued the other two. They have been admitted to a hospital in Bidar. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
