HC Admits PIL Against Rythu Bandhu

Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court has accepted a letter from a person as Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against the Telangana government's prestigious welfare scheme Rythu Bandhu. The High Court had initiated an inquiry into it as well. It is learnt that Yadagiri Reddy of Nalgonda district had written a letter to Hyderabad High Court stating that a lot of irregularities were taking place in the Rythu Bandhu scheme.

Yadagiri Reddy had mentioned in the letter that the Rythu Bandhu scheme was more beneficial to the rich landlords than the poor farmers and had asked for changes in the scheme. The High Court has taken up the letter as a PIL and initiated inquiry on Tuesday. It has ordered the Telangana government to file a counter on this within two weeks. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for July 10.
