Telangana to Introduce Prepaid Electricity Meters

How it Works: The DISCOM will replace the existing meters with a new variant that will have provision to insert prepaid card. The card will be sim-enabled. The DISCOM will bear the cost of the installation. The consumer has to only recharge the card just like a pre-paid mobile. However, when the power goes off you know its time to recharge.

Amid fears of economic fallout and a broader trade war with multiple countries, American President Donald Trump on Thursday postponed 25% tariffs on many imports from Mexico and some parts from Canada for a month. Even though the White House insists that the tariffs imposed are to stop the smuggling of fentanyl, Trump's tax proposal has wounded the decades-long partnership between America and its allies - Mexico and Canada.
