Telangana to get 163, AP 211 IAS officers

The division of All India Services officers between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has been finalized.
Pratyush Sinha committee, which is entrusted with the task of allocating the officers of IAS, IPS and IFS between the two states, met in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The allocation of officers was completed through lottery system and roster mode. The name of Telangana came first in the lottery system.
Finally, Telangana state got 163 IAS officers, 112 IPS officers and 65 IFS officers.
Andhra Pradesh got 211 IAS officers, 144 IPS officers and 85 IFS officers.
Raymond Peter said that the allocation would be completed by next Saturday. “The allocation will be done in the ratio of 13:10. The committee will meet once more if needed,” said the official.
