NEW DELHI: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday left for New Delhi where he is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders and discuss different pending matters concerning the state. KCR left in the evening, official sources said.

The state government has been pursuing various issues with the Centre, including national status for Kaleshwaram irrigation project and implementation of assurances given to Telangana in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

The Chief Minister had earlier urged Prime Minister Modi to release the fifth installment of assistance of Rs 450 crore to backward districts as per the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act

Provide financial assistance of Rs 5,000 crore for the TRS government’s flagship programmes Mission Kakatiya and Rs 19,205 crore for Mission Bhagiratha, as recommended by NITI Aayog.

Enhance reservations for BCS (37 per cent), SCs (25 per cent) and STs (10 per cent) and also sub-categorisation of SCs in the State after a resolution was passed by the State Assembly.
