KCR Vows to be Telangana Chief minister for 10 more years

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Taking a jibe at the opposition parties for carrying out a false campaign about his ill health, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday said that he is not giving up on Chief Minister's post and would not hand over the power to son, KT Rama Rao.

KCR, who addressed the Assembly during the ongoing Budget session, sarcastically said, “I have friends who are wishing for my death for the past 20 years, but still I am alive. Nothing happened to my health and I am hale and healthy.”

He said that he was 66-year-old and would remain healthy for another at least 10 more years.“I am capable of working as the chief minister at least for another 10 years,” he said.

He also added that curses of Opposition parties would motivate him to take the state to new heights of development.

“And I will be the Chief Minister for this term and the coming term also... I don’t understand why I should die when I am fit enough and don’t have any health issues. And why should I make my son K.T. Rama Rao the chief minister,” he said during the session.
