Controversy Over TRS Symbol, KCR Face Carvings On Yadadri Temple Pillars - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Campaign Committee chairperson Vijayashanthi slammed Telangana Chief Minister KCR and TRS Working President KTR for the carvings of KCR and his party symbol on the pillars of Yadadri temple.

She said that the reason behind KTR dialogue during 2018 assembly election campaign, 'Sir...Car...Sarkar', is now known to all after this incident. He was thinking of himself as a king and trying to emulate former rulers who used to have inscriptions of their works on historic structures and monuments, added Vijayashanthi.

BJP leader K Laxman said that the TRS government was trying to belittle Hindu religions by resorting to such acts. BJP MLA Raja Singh stated that the temple was being renovated with public money, not with party funds. We demand him to take immediate action. If not, I will take people with me and get them down.

Congress MP Revanth Reddy said that this act has taken the dictatorial attitude of the CM to a new level. Monarchy has hit Telangana which was achieved after the sacrifices of many Telanganites.

MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that it was shameful to have pictures of the KCR etched on the sculptures of Yadadri temple and alleged that KCR has hurt the sentiments of devotees.

However, the sculptors said once any design is carved, it cannot be taken down.
