Telangana BJP Draws Parallels Between KTR And Rahul Gandhi
Hyderabad: The ongoing verbal duel between Telangana BJP leaders and TRS Working President KT Rama Rao has gone up one notch higher on Tuesday. BJP general secretary Krishna Sagar Rao drew parallels between KTR and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, both of whom are accused of being entitled to the throne by virtue of their dynasty and family rule.
The war of words between KTR and BJP leaders were triggered by BJP Working President JP Nadda, who in his recent visit to Hyderabad, launched a scathing attack on TRS and the K Chandrashekar Rao's government. He said by the next round of elections, BJP would dislodge the TRS government and end the family rule of KCR.
Continuing with the diatribe against the TRS, Krishna Sagar Rao in a press conference on Tuesday said: "Like Rahul Gandhi for Congress, KTR is for TRS waiting to occupy the seat of power after his father."
Referring to KTR's recent remarks that "(JP) Nadda Abbadalaku Adda", which losely translates as Nadda is the spot where all the lies spring from, Krishna Sagar Rao said: "KTR's situation is pitiable. He is trying hard to use alliteration and pun, but people are at a loss to understand him in his meetings. "
Like KTR, Rao said BJP leaders do not make any personal remarks as they keep their political criticism political. He demanded that the TRS come out and KCR should come out in the open to tell the people of the State as what their government had done for the people of Telangana in the last six years. It doesn't help one bit for KCR to have his son KTR launch an attack on BJP leaders to keep his government's failings unexposed, he added.
He further held the TRS government responsible for the death of 27 students due to the bungling in evaluation by the Board of Intermediate recently.
