KCR May Induct Gutta Sukhender Reddy Into Telangana Cabinet
Hyderabad: As Gutta Sukhender Reddy was nominated as a candidate for the only vacancy in the Legislative Council, it is speculated that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is paving way to induct him into the cabinet.
A leading daily ponted out the KCR had invited him to join the TRS, when he was a Congress member and promised him a cabinet berth.
Reddy was appointed chairman and director of the state-level farmers’ coordination committee in February 2018. However, after his nomination, he resigned.
There was also a buzz that Reddy would have gotten the party ticket during the biennial elections for the five seats under the MLA quota in March this year, but that did not happen, instead KCR asked him to wait for some more time.
And finally Rao has been nominated, although it is yet to see whether he would secure a cabinet berth.
The Election of Commission of India has already announced that polls will be held for one and three MLC seats that have been vacant in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively on August 26.
