KTR Criticises Chandrababu’s Antics Over EVM Issues In Delhi
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President KT Rama Rao on Sunday exuded confidence that the TRS will bag 16 parliamentary seats in the state and that there would be a coalition government at the Centre.
While during an informal chat with reporters here, KTR clarified that the friendly challenge that he had with his cousin and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao was just to enthuse the people during the elections. He said that Medak was KCR's stronghold and the TRS would win the seat, along with Warangal and Karimnagar with huge majority.
Taking potshots at Chandrababu Naidu, KTR said that the AP CM had become paranoid because of recent Election Commission's directive to change civil servants.
He said that the public had lost faith in Chandrababu and hence he was staging 'street plays' in New Delhi. "Instead of accepting people's verdict he is crying foul," KTR scoffed.
He criticised Chandrababu's statement stating if the TDP government lost the election it would be because of EVM glitches. "It is not appropriate to make such frivolous statements by a man of his stature. If his statements were reliable then people would respect them," he said.
KTR further added that he failed to understand that a man who claims to have 40 years of political experience could make such 'derogatory' statements against the Election Commission.
"People have understood that Chandrababu's defeat is imminent looking at the way he is going around bowing to the leaders," the TRS leader said.
Talking about the ruling TRS government, KTR said that it was the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's mission to complete the local body elections by May 20 to avoid enforcement of the model code of conduct even after LS elections results in case of elections later. The CM is also planning to introduce new municipal laws and re-organise the revenue department and work towards being corruption and bribe-free government.
