Arepalli Mohan Leaves Congress For TRS Over Peddapalli Ticket

Karimnagar: Former MLA and TPCC SC Cell chairman Arepalli Mohan on Sunday joined TRS sending a shock to the Congress. The decision came in response to the Congress giving the ticket for the Peddapalli Lok Sabha seat to former minister A Chandrasekhar.

Arepalli Mohan had campaigned hard for the ticket yet the party chose to go with Mr Chandrasekar who belongs to the Ranga Reddy. Hence, he announced his decision to join the TRS at a press meet on Saturday evening.

After his announcement, Former minister and Manthini MLA D Sridhar Babu and MLC candidate T Jeevan Reddy met with Arepalli Mohan at his residence and made attempts to persuade him to stay with the Congress. However, moving past their requests, he joined the TRS in the presence of working president KT Rama Rao in Karimnagar on Sunday.

Karimnagar District Cooperative Bank director Ketireddy Devender Reddy, Thimmaur Mandal Congress president D Narasinga Rao, Kotapalli sarpanch M Srinivas, upa-sarpanch B Srikanth, MPTC Komuraiah and five other sarpanches were among the others who joined the TRS.
