Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s Son In Contention For TRS Ticket?
Hyderabad: TRS senior MLA and former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s son, Saikiran Yadav recently campaigned for his father in the Assembly elections urging the voters to re-elect him from Sanathnagar segment.
The recent campaign gained him political recognition and now the MLA is eyeing the TRS ticket to contest from the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming Parliament elections.
Having completed his Masters in Australia, Saikiran Yadav is actively participating in politics. According to the sources, Talasani Srinivas Yadav's idea of introducing his son into politics has already been under discussions between TRS working chief KT Rama Rao and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
In regard to the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat, TRS is reportedly looking for a potential candidate. Keeping in view of TRS failing to bag the seat and the party ranking in fourth position with 1.44 lakh votes, the party's major focus is to win the seat.
The TRS fielded T Bhim Singh, husband of former chief justice of Patna High Court Justice T Meena Kumari during the 2014 elections in which TRS secured only one Assembly segment in the Secunderabad Lok Sabha out of seven segments.
This time, the party leaders are confident of emerging victorious as TRS candidates won in six segments. Also, MIM which won in one segment, deciding not to contest from the Secunderabad Lok Sabha provides an edge to the TRS.
