Vem Narender Reddy Questioned By ED Over Vote For Note Case

Hyderabad: Congress leader Vem Narender Reddy has presented himself before the Enforcement Directorate in relation with the Vote for Note case.

It is learned that the ED is questioning him regarding the source of the money Rs 50,000 cash and other Rs 4.50 crore which was offered to nominated MLA Stephenson, to vote for the TDP in the MLC election. Apparently, the officials have obtained the bank accounts of the leader and are questioning him on the basis of that.

In this incident, the then TDP leader Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed and was sent to prison over the issue. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu was also involved in the case, it was reported. Revanth Reddy and Narender Reddy joined Congress following the incident.

The current investigation is carried by ED Assistant Director Rajshekar with information from the Income Tax department and Anti-Corruption Bureau. Kirthan Reddy son of the leader Narender Reddy also attended the inquiry. ED has already investigated Uday Simha and Revanth Reddy in the case.
