Second Phase Polling In Telangana Panchayat Elections Ends Peacefully
Hyderabad: Second phase of polling in the panchayat elections, in Telangana got over peacefully. The voter turnout in this elections is expected to be around 85%, according to officials.
Polling started in the morning at 7 AM and continued till 1 PM. Authorities allowed voters, who stood in the queues till the stipulated time, to vote. The first phase and second phase of polling have been completed successfully. The third phase of elections is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, January 30.
District-wise polling percentage was given as follows: Khammam (73.35%), Nalgonda (65%) Suryapet (77%), Peddapalli (67.30%), Ranga Reddy (65.3%), Karimnagar (64%), Yadadri (63%), Kamareddy (81.78%), Nizamabad (69.38%), Wanaparthy (80%), Nagarkurnool (76%), Jogulamba Gadwal (78%), Warangal urban (87%), Janagam (90%), Bhupalpally (83%)
