Uttam Accuses EC Rajat Kumar Of Betrayal
Hyderabad: TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the Election Commission did not take notice of their party's objections, while in comparison, in the recently held elections in the Rajasthan, Chattishgarh when the candidates expressed their suspicion over the results announced,VVPATS were counted. In Telangana, Congress raised many objections over the difference of votes, but the Election Commission took no notice of them.
He added that as there was a major difference between the number of votes polled and the number of votes counted. The Congress was very particular about counting the VVPATs. Uttam accused that the EC went in for elections without making amendments to the voter list. The TPCC chief added that the EC has failed to conduct free and fair elections in the state of Telangana.
He demanded that ballot papers be used in the upcoming elections and in the constituencies where the winning majority is less than 10,000 votes VVPATs’ should be verified. Talking about the chief electoral officer Rajath Kumar, Uttam said that the CEO has not kept his promise to Court that amendments will be made to the voters' list.
