Dattatreya Refutes KTR’s Allegations Against Centre
Hyderabad: BJP MP Bandaru Dattatreya countered the allegations made on the BJP government by TRS working president K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR). Talking to the media here on Sunday he said, the allegations made by KTR are baseless. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running an honest government. Rubbishing KTR’s claims he said, other states in which BJP is not in power are also being developed by the PM.
Dattatreya opened up on KTR’s comments and said, people are in support of BJP, and TRS is scared of it. Out of fear TRS trying to blame the Union government.
The BJP leader revealed the data regarding the grants sanctioned by the government to the state. He added a total of 2 lakh crores has been given under various grants for the state by Union. Funds were given for 11 irrigation projects, integrating the southern power grids, Rs 50 thousand crores to Yadadri power project, 4 thousand megawatts NTPC. A 1000 megawatts solar power plant in Mahabubnagar is funded by the Centre. The credit to 24 hours power supply in Telangana goes to Union government, he added.
Talking about other development projects taken up the Union government, the senior BJP leader added. The length of Highways running across the state has gone up to 5600 kilometers from 2400 kilometers, and Rs 60,000 crores has been spent on this project. AIIMS was sanctioned for Telangana, and reestablishing fertilizer plant in Ramagundam is on the anvil , the BJP leader said.
Dattatreya reminded KTR that the textiles park in Warangal, Karimnagar-Nizamabad railway line have been completed by the center. He added, 2,10,00 houses have been sanctioned as also Rs 1700 crores in the Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana for the state.
Dattatreya pointed out that the Centre was ready for the Bayyaram steel plant but the state government is unresponsive over the issue. Telangana has got highest funds granted by the Union government compared to other states. He added "we are going to publish a book on the funds granted for projects, and welfare schemes, and this book will be distributed all across the state." He even took a jibe at Kerala's communist government and said they are going to face the consequences for what they are doing on the Sabarimala issue.
