Panchayat Elections Will Be Landslide Victory For TRS: KTR

TRS K T Rama Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: All the heavyweights of the Congress had to bite the dust in the recently held Assembly elections. TRS working president KT Rama Rao pointed out that if the votes polled in favour of the truck symbol were to be added up, TRS bagged 50% of the total number of votes.

Addressing the TRS supporters from the Choppadandi, Huzurnagar constituencies, TRS leader said, TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy has won the seat by using the truck symbol to misguide the TRS voters. He added, "since the 2014 elections all the TRS party supporters have worked very hard, and that is the reason behind all the important leaders from Congress losing the elections.” Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders came down to campaign in the recent elections, but the people of Telangana supported the TRS party and it secured a victory with a huge margin, he added.

KTR added, Congress surrendered before Chandrababu for Rs 500 crores he offered and the BJP lost deposits in over 100 constituencies. Referring to the Congress leader Ponnala Lashmaiah’s comments that elections should be held again, he said, “ I was wondering to laugh or cry after listening to his statement.” Many of the Congress leaders have quit politics, he added.

Referring to TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy’s comments, KTR added, Uttam said it was going to be a silent revolution, but in response he had said that it was going to be a revolution, loud and clear. People have taught him what a revolution means. KTR took a jibe at the Congress leaders and said, they had already distributed ministries among themselves before elections hoping for a victory. “3,400 thandas have been converted into mandals under the TRS government and the coming panchayati elections should be a unanimous, affair,” he concluded.
