Modi’s BJP Committed To Telangana Development, Approved AIIMS, Ring Road: Dattatreya
Hyderabad: Former Union Minister and BJP MP Bandaru Dattatreya accused AP CM Chandrababu Naidu of making regular, baseless allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the media here on Sunday, Dattatreya quoted Chandrababu's words in a recent meet the press program on suggesting the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee to sack Modi from Gujarat CM's post in 2014. "If that was the case, why did you lie down on Modi's feet in 2014?" he asked pointing out to Chandrababu.
Dattatreya said Chandrababu made no sense with his campaign on saving democracy. After becoming CM by deceiving former CM NTR and making a mockery of democracy by colluding with the Governor, Chandrababu is talking about democracy now, he commented.
Condemning Congress president Rahul Gandhi's comments on PM Modi, the BJP leader said the Congress supremo lacked political maturity and awareness on the functioning of the economy. It is not fair on the part of the Congress leaders to criticise the Centre on Rafale deal even after the Supreme Court's ruling, he felt.
Dattatreya found fault with the TRS's attempts to attract Congress MLAs into the TRS despite winning 88 seats in the 119 seat Assembly. It is shameful that the Council Chairman, who should take the responsibility of safeguarding the democracy, is succumbing to political pressures, he added.
The BJP MP further said contrary to the TRS leaders' criticism, the BJP government at the Centre sanctioned the AIIMS in Bibinagar and 362 km regional ring road. While 5 lakh farmers are yet to receive the renewed passbooks, 9.5 lakh out of the 54 lakh beneficiaries of the Rythu Bandhu scheme did not receive the Rythu Bandhu deposits, he observed.
