Kukatpally Winner Says Slapping Thighs Balayya Style Won’t Fetch Votes

Kukatpally winner says slapping thighs Balayya style won’t fetch votes - Sakshi Post

Winning candidate from Kukatpally constituency in the city belonging to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Madhavaram Krishna Rao, said that he did not defeat the TDP candidate in the election, Nandamuri Suhasini, but took on the might of the Andhra Pradesh government. Speaking to Sakshi TV, Krishna Rao slammed AP Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu for trying to create a rift between the people of Andhra region settled in the city and elsewhere in Telangana and the locals. The freshly elected MLA added that Chandrababu had failed miserably in his attempts to do so.

Krishna Rao remarked that apart from the chief minister of AP, ministers, MLAs and MLCs, in addition to film stars descended on Kukatpally to campaign for his rival from TDP, Nandamuri Suhasini. In an oblique dig at Chandrababu's brother-in-law, Lokesh's father-in-law and Suhasini's uncle, Tollywood actor Balakrishna, the Kukatpally MLA commented sarcastically that people don't vote when such campaigners slap their thighs and twirl their moustache.

The people from Andhra who had settled here, saw through Chandrababu Naidu's game and taught the TDP a lesson, he added. It was presumptuous on the part of the TDP leadership to think that all people from AP, settled in the constituency, would vote for it.
