Congress Leader VH Accuses TRS Of EVM Tampering
Hyderabad: Expressing disappointment over the Praja Kutami's dismal show in the Telangana election results, senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao (VH) accused the TRS of tampering with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Speaking to media while the counting is still underway, he said his doubts over the EVM tampering have been ignored.
VH said there was a sharp turnaround in the results after everyone said the Congress would come to power. "How could KCR get the votes after he spent all the time sleeping at home and without stepping his foot in the camp office? I had expressed doubts over EVM tampering after the ballot papers were printed in pink colour," he said.
The Congress leader expressed doubts over the TRS's prediction of number of seats. The ECIL employees have colluded with KCR and hence they worked in his favour, the veteran leader said.
Asked whether the voting machines were tampered with in other poll-bound States, VH said he was not aware of the situation in other States. Anyone would raise doubts if there is such a big gap in the voting numbers, he added.
The senior leader further said the Congress wouldn't accept it if the same EVMs would be used in the Lok Sabha elections. The ballot papers must be used in general elections, he demanded.
