Revanth Draws EC’s Attention To KCR’s Name In Electoral Rolls Of Two Regions - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Pointing fingers at the fact that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) had voting rights in two different locations, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Revanth Reddy said that KCR managed to do so by swapping his surname after the first name in Chinthamadaka village in Sangareddy constituency. KCR originally had his voting right in Erravalli village of Gajwel constituency, he added.

Revanth Reddy said it was illegal to possess voting right in more than one location. "Why is it that the Election Commission didn't act on the issue? KCR, S/O Raghava Rao, is a voter in two places," he said.

If Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar doesn't respond to this, we will approach the Election Commission of India, he asserted. Rajat Kumar admitted to the fact that over 20 lakh voters hadn't found their names in the electoral rolls, he added.

Revanth Reddy alleged that 20 lakh Congress supporters across the State had been removed from the electoral roll. Accepting KTR's challenge to retire from politics if he loses from Kodangal, Revanth expressed confidence that he would win.

"Will KCR and KTR retire from politics if I win from Kodangal?" he asked.
