I Am A Soldier, KCR A Broker: Uttam Kumar Reddy

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy lambasted caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) for speaking against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He said that KCR cheated all sections of life after the State was formed after a prolonged struggle.

Addressing a 'Meet The Press' program here at Basheerbagh in the city, Uttam said the media was robbed off its freedom to report public issues in KCR's rule. Inspired by the journalists who are fighting for press freedom, the Congress is determined to provide double and triple bed-room houses in gazetted communities for the journalists, he promised.

He recalled that the Telangana movement was opposed by many a leader like the ones who raised objections on the sovereignty of Hyderabad. "KCR, the lone TRS MP at the time of State bifurcation, said in the State Assembly that sans Sonia Gandhi Telangana wouldn't be a reality," he explained. The other MP Vijayashanti from the TRS had already joined the Congress pre-bifurcation.

"The nation watched how Prime Minister Narendra Modi belittled Telangana formation in his recent address in the Parliament. The TRS and the MIM are officially friendly parties now. Even after Telangana formation, the Congress missed the trick due to petty mistakes in the previous elections," he clarified.

Uttam further said that KCR was elected as CM with a vote share of only 33 per cent to the TRS. While the Speaker had no righteousness in TRS rule, KCR proved to be the worst CM by buying off public representatives from MPs to sarpanches, he added.
