TRS MPs’ Vishweshwar Reddy And Sitaram Naik To Join Congress
Hyderabad: With the last date for nominations scheduled for 19th November, party defections still continue and rumours are that Chevella MP Konda Vishweswar Reddy and Mahbubabad MP Sitaram Naik might jump from TRS and join the Congress bandwagon.
It is heard that Konda Vishweswar Reddy is quite unhappy with the TRS because of the undue importance being given to Minister Patnam Mahender Reddy of Ranga Reddy District. He has been feeling sidelined for some time and has been planning to make this move for almost a month, it is being rumoured.
Speaking to journalists in Tandur he said that in the seven assembly segments in the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency the Congress is also a strong contender and that the TRS has an uphill task to compete with them. He said that he had participated quite aggresively in many of these areas but had to stop midway due to ill health. It is also heard that MLC Yadava Reddy, and senior TRS leader from Chevella, Challa Madhava Reddy might join the Congress.
Mahabubabad MP Sitaram Naik is also learnt to be upset with the TRS encouraging an IPS officer Lakshman Naik from the Kerala Cadre and denying him the seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. It said that the TRS has already sent feelers that they will not give the seat to him the second time, prompting him to move to the Congress.
Political analysts say that there could be a serious impact on the party image if these two MPs leave the TRS, but the Congress senior leaders have declined to comment on this and said that many TRS leaders are ready to join the Congress, but they can announce as to when and who might join till there is an official confirmation.
Meanwhile TPCC Working President Revanth Reddy, while speaking at a rally at Kodangal openly declared that two MPs from the TRS would be joining the party and challenged the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao if he could stop them from doing so, further giving strength to this rumour.
Vishhweshwar Reddy, Naik Deny Rumours
Meanwhile, in a latest update, both Vishweshawar Reddy and Sitaram Naik have denied that they are quitting the TRS. Naik dared TPCC working president, Revanth Reddy to reveal the names of the two MPs he claimed were defecting to the Congress from the TRS.
