Congress Won’t Spare Chandrababu If Telangana’s Interest Is Compromised: Jana Reddy
Hyderabad: Senior leader of the Congress in Telangana, K Jana Reddy today said that the seat sharing process in the grand alliance, which was formed with a goal to end the TRS rule, was in the final stage. He announced that the much-awaited candidate list was completed and the list would be out by Saturday evening.
Speaking to media here, he said that senior leader and former PCC Chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah was also given the ticket from Jangaon constituency. After the return of TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and AICC Secretary RC Khuntia from Dubai tour, the alliance members will unite and release the candidate list. If Chandrababu Naidu comes in the way of Telangana's growth, we will not spare him, he affirmed.
Jana Reddy said that Telangana public will shatter records in defeating TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). Stating that KCR's governance was nowhere close to that of late CM Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy, he expressed confidence over the Congress's win although the party was late in decision-making.
Asked about the party's candidate from Miryalaguda constituency, he said that the party would choose a winning candidate. "The party workers want either me or my son to contest. If the party wishes to field my son, he is ready to contest. CM candidate is not a topic of debate now," he revealed.
In 2014, KCR was voted to power because of his words and he is yet again seeking votes making false promises, the senior Congress leader alleged. Speaking abou the ticket aspirants in Congress, he said that it was natural to witness dissent from disappointed leaders.
Jana Reddy further said that people of the State would not spare KCR for deceiving them with false promises. In this context, we will not spare outsiders like Chandrababu if interests of Telangana are compromised, he added.
It was Chandrababu who came forward with the idea of the grand alliance, he revealed. Watch this space for more updates on Telangana Assembly elections.
