TRS Manifesto Full Of Fake Promises: Komatireddy
Hyderabad: Former minister and senior leader of the Congress party Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today criticized the Telangana Rashtra Samithi's (TRS) manifesto saying it was full of false promises and that the Congress's manifesto would be a practical one. Speaking at a press conference here today, he announced that the Congress leadership discussed the proposals to add new schemes to the previously announced manifesto in the interest of the people of Telangana. In every district head quarters, a medical college and a monument in the memory of the Telangana martyrs would be built, he promised.
Komatireddy said that the manifesto committee was considering the demand for free electricity of upto 100 units to the Backward Classes as is being given to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. He also said that plans were afloat for providing loan waivers to handloom weavers and to provide free sand on the lines of the neighbouring State (Andhra Pradesh).
"In one or two days, the manifesto would be finalised. Similar to the pension scheme for former MPs and MLAs, former MPTCs and Sarpanches would also be given pensions in the Congress rule. How can Chandrababu create hindrances to the projects which are being built in the uphill landscape of Telangana?" he questioned.
The Congress leader further said that the TRS leaders were making meaningless comments out of fear of loss in the upcoming elections. The TRS leaders lost the right to question us after having ruled the State without a woman minister, he added. Watch this space for more updates on Telangana Assembly elections 2018.
