Congress Can’t Defeat ‘Baahubali’ KCR: Kadiyam Srihari
Mahbubabad: Kadiyam Srihari, caretaker deputy chief minister of Telangana compared caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to Baahubali and said that it was not easy to defeat him. He said it was a task beyond the scope of the Congress party in Telangana. The senior TRS leader was addressing a meeting of party coordinators of Dornakal and Mahbubabad districts here.
The caretaker deputy chief minister slammed the Congress party for going to court, saying that it was a clear indication that it had accepted defeat at the hustings.
Former legislators, Kavita and Satyavati Rathod, who had earlier shown signs of dissidence, said that they would work for the victory of the party candidates and would abide by the decision of the high command. All the leaders from Mahbubabad district resolved to ensure the success of Shankar Naik who has been given the TRS ticket to contest from there. Among those present at the meeting were MLAs in the recently dissolved assembly, Redya Naik and Shankar Naik.
While leaders who were reportedly unhappy with the TRS leadership's decision on ticket allotment attended the meeting, many of their followers skipped it.
