TRS Afraid Of Losing To Grand Alliance: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Revanth Reddy today demanded the Election Commission form committees to look into the implementation of the code of conduct in view of the upcoming Assembly polls in the State. Speaking to media along with senior leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy here today, he said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders should remember that the Krishna and Godavari river waters were under the territory of Telangana and that Andhra Pradesh is able to utilise the waters at the discretion of Telangana.
Adding that the people of the State should choose between the Congress party, which resolves the issues of people across the country, and the TRS party, he requested the Central Election Commission to keep an eye on TV channels which were supporting the TRS. Interestingly enough, he was mum on pro-TDP channels which were soft on the Congress now.
Komatireddy said that the TRS was gripped by a fear of loss with the alliance of Opposition parties. He asked why were the TRS leaders were getting involved in the affairs of the Congress. "Why did the TRS join hands with the TDP in 2009? The TRS leaders should explain this first, he said.
