Kodandaram, Nagam Allege Misuse Of Power, Corruption By TRS
Hyderabad: A round table conference on 'Pragati Nivedana - Praja Avedana' was organized here at Hotel Abode in Lakdikapool here today. Several politicians, lawyers, engineers and activists participated in the conference to discuss on the failures of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government in its tenure of four years and three months, with respect to the party's election promises in 2014.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that rampant corruption was prevalent in the construction of irrigation projects during the TRS rule and that the government had banned the Dharna Chowk, leaving no chance for carrying out protests. Explaining the corrupt practices in the irrigation projects, he said that he had filed cases to disclose the corruption under the rule of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).
Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) Chief Prof Kodandaram said that the TRS leaders made blatant misuse of power in the last four years.
Under the leadership of Independent Forum Convenor Shiva Prasad Reddy, several issues pertaining to the TRS government were discussed by former MLA Yennam Lakshmi Narayana, Prof Lingeshwara Rao, senior journalist Srinivasa Reddy, Retd. Engineer Donthu Lakshmi Narayana, advocate Rama Krishna Reddy, Srihari and others.
