Telangana Assembly Dissolved
The Telangana Cabinet meet chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao recommended the dissolution of Telangana Assembly months ahead of its full term. The key decision was taken at a cabinet meet which was held at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad at 1 PM.
KCR, along with a few ministers from his Cabinet then headed to Raj Bhavan to meet the governor and apprise him of their decision. It is a known fact that KCR wants to hold an early elections to encash the developments made by his government in the last four and a half years. He is expected to meet media persons at 2.30 this afternoon to explain further course of action for early polls in Telangana. This will also help KCR focus on Lok Sabha elections to eb held later next year in 2019 without ahving to worry about the assembly constituencies.

Governor Accepts KCR's Decision
In a recent development, Governor ESL Narasimhan is believed to have lent his consent to the Cabinet decision to dissolve Telangana Assembly.
The Telangana Assembly has been dissolved, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan announced on Thursday.
The Governor made the announcement after Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao submitted a cabinet resolution recommending the dissolution of the House.
The Governor said he had accepted Rao's resignation and told him to continue as the caretaker Chief Minister.
The TRS chief considers '6' his lucky number and that's the reason cited for not taking the decision during the Cabinet meeting on September 2, which was held hours before the massive public meeting organised by the ruling party to sound the poll bugle.
After the dissolution of Assembly, KCR will launch the TRS election campaign with a public meeting at Husnabad in Siddipet district a day later.
Christened 'Prajala Aasirwada Sabha', this will be the first of 100 public meetings planned by TRS over the next 50 days.

Political observers say TRS is keen on early elections as the party believes that simultaneous elections to Assembly and Lok Sabha may not help it properly highlight welfare and developmental works undertaken during the last four years.
Political circles have been abuzz over the last few weeks with talks of early polls. KCR has given strong hints in this regard with his two meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August, announcement of sops and transfer of top police and civil officials.
