Clean Sweep In 2019 Elections: TRS

TRS MLA KP Vivekananda - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA KP Vivekananda said that the Congress party's Telangana unit was in a disarray. Speaking to media on Friday here, the MLA said that during Congress President Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to the State, every top Congress leader acted as if he/she was the Chief Ministerial candidate. The Congress leaders are under a myth that Rahul Gandhi's visit gained traction to their party, he added.

Vivekananda said that even if the Congress President operates from Hyderabad as his base camp, the TRS would be unstoppable. Adding that the Congress leaders lacked a common agenda and unity, he said the opposition leaders were running away from the Assembly, unable to debate on issues.

"While one Congress leader says that the party is ready to go for polls, another leader objects questioning the urgency in conducting elections. No two leaders in the Congress share the same opinion," he said.

The TRS MLA alleged that the Congress party was desperately trying to obstruct the irrigation project work in the State, by filing hundreds of cases against the government. He added that the Congress leaders were criticizing Minister K Taraka Rama Rao only to gain popularity.
