BJP MLA Raja Singh Resigns, To Pursue Cow Protection

BJP MLA Raja Singh - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Goshamahal constituency, Raja Singh has resigned from his post earlier this week. In a sensational move, the BJP leader said that he had decided to resign from his MLA post, since he did not want to cause damage to his party due to his 'Gau Raksha' activities. Speaking to media on Sunday, he said that he had sent out his letter of resignation to party Chief Dr K Lakshman.

Raja Singh said that he would go to any extent to pursue the cause of Gau Raksha in the country. "Some people are trying to link the Gau Raksha activities to party activities. There is no co-relation between my Gau Raksha cause and the party. With an intention to avoid any kind of damage to the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party, I have decided to resign," he added.

Ever since the State has been bifurcated, export of cows has drastically increased in the State, he observed. He has alleged that the State police are encouraging cow export. The State government is responsible for the eradication of illegal cow export, he asserted.
