Adani Middleman For Modi And KCR: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: Congress leader Revanth Reddy today said that the secret pact between Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was evident after the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) extended support to Janata Dal United (JDU) candidate Harivansh Narayan Singh in the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman election. Speaking to media here, Revanth Reddy alleged that KCR was befriending MIM in the State and the BJP at the Centre. He added that TRS was inching towards allying with the BJP.
Revanth Reddy accused Adani group Chairman Gowtham Adani of trying to play middleman between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KCR. He observed that KCR travelled in a private jet that belonged to Adani, when he visited Chennai to attend the funeral of former Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi.
"KCR was involved in a huge scandal in the purchase of 1,000 MW electricity from Chattisgarh government. Since Adani supplied coal to Marva Electricity Company, KCR purchased electricity for a higher price," he said.
The Kodangal MLA felt that KCR was adding huge burden to the public exchequer, only to pursue personal interests. He also alleged that the TRS government was trying to block Congress President Rahul Gandhi's visit. He added that after taking the lives of 1,200 persons, KCR offered key posts to family members.
