Telangana Govt. Removes 144 Fraud Companies From TASK For Duping Students

Hyderabad: As many as 144 fraud companies have been struck off by the government after finding that several students were cheated by these companies which were on the empaneled list of Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK).

We do background check of companies before empaneling, and the genuineness of job will be probed into. We have removed 144 companies from our empaneled list in the process

In the guise of job offers fraudulent companies have been charging hefty amount from the candidates. The companies had collected between Rs.15,000 and Rs.1.5 lakh in the name of training fee, certification fee, etc.

“I had looked up this job through an online portal. On getting selected, I was asked to deposit Rs 50,000 as bond money and within a week, I was asked to get more students from my village. I never got the money back or a certificate,” said P. Sambasiva.

Meanwhile, TASK CEO Sujiv Nair said, “We do background check of companies before empaneling, and the genuineness of job will be probed into. We have removed 144 companies from our empaneled list in the process.”
