Telangana Govt Inducts 5 More Officials into SIT on Nayeem
Hyderabad: Telangana Government has deputed five more officials to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing into the murky affairs of slain gangster Nayeem. The decision comes after a month of investigation into several criminal cases against Nayeem. Inspector General Y Nagi Reddy is heading the SIT, which comprises eight members.
The SIT has been set up to probe into the nefarious activities of Naxalite-turned-gangster Nayeem. The new members are IPS officer Priyardarshini, ASP and OSD of Karimanagar; S Sai Krishna, Additional SP, Khammam; Md Ismail, Additional DCP, Special Branch, Hyderabad, P Jaipal, ACP, Traffic, Goshamahal, and P. Ramachandra Rao, Inspector, Narsingi.
Considering the filing of newer cases and the tumbling out of ever newer information, the SIT has been augmented.
Anjani Kumar, Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, will oversee the progress of the case along with Nagi Reddy.
