Hyderabad: All degree colleges in Telangana will be closed from Thursday to Saturday following a bandh call given by Private Degree and PG Managements Association.

Despite assurances by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, officials have not released the fee reimbursements for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16.

Following a delay in fee reimbursement by the state government, the Association gave a bandh call. “The delay has a direct impact on admissions for over 20,000 students,” it said. “We want to draw attention to the government apathy towards the concerns of the students,” Association president Ramana Reddy said. Despite assurances by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, officials have not released the fee reimbursements for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16, he said.

Ramana Reddy also called for another opportunity for students to take admissions to degree and PG colleges as scores of them could not join due to lack of awareness about online admission process.
