Telangana Class 10 Students Cry Foul As They Receive AP Question Paper
Hyderabad: Class X students of a CBSE-affiliated school in Hyderabad's Yousufguda had the shock of their life when they were given Telugu question paper of Andhra Pradesh instead of that of Telangana.
The students of Vignana Jyothi High School were in shock when they saw the question paper on the Telugu exam. They received Andhra Pradesh question paper instead of Telangana due to the error in paper code. Out of 90 marks, 57 marks were common for the both the states but remaining 33 questions were from Andhra Pradesh. The students of the school failed to answer the questions which were not present in their syllabus.
The blunder took place when the school authorities registered the wrong paper code with CBSE. They have not checked the mistake until the exam was over. When parents blamed the school for the mistake they simply passed the buck to the Telugu faculty saying that the mistake was committed by a Telugu teacher.
J Poojitha, a parent, was worried about her son's marks as he attempted only 57 questions. "My son, on knowing that the wrong question paper was given, answered for 57 marks. But how can the examination be complete if students are not allowed to write for 33 marks. The CBSE will not add a single grace mark," she said.
"The Telugu teacher had made the mistake. We have already got in touch with CBSE officials and an email has been sent to the Board. We do not know whether examination will be re-conducted or not. We are trying to solve the issue," Aruna Kumari, school principal told the parents.
Meanwhile, parents lodged a complaint with the police against the school and asked for re-examination.
