Telangana Assembly pays homage to APJ Kalam
Hyderabad: Telangana members of legislative assembly paid their homage to the former president late APJ Abdul Kalam on the first day of the assembly session here on Wednesday.
Paying his respect for the late president, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said "Kalam reached great heights in life despite coming from a poor family from a small town Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. He will be a great inspiration to a lot of people. He has done a lot for the nation and his death is a huge loss to the whole nation.”
Chief Minister KCR also requested the central govt. to name DRDL in Hyderabad after the late APJ Abdul Kalam.
The opposition parties and other parties backed KCR’s plea.
