Telangana Assembly Condoles Death of Ramreddy Venkat Reddy - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana Legislative Assembly on Friday condoled the death of Paleru MLA Ramreddy Venkat Reddy.The 72-year-old Congress leader and a five-time MLA from Khammam district, passed away on March 5. He was the chairman of Public Accounts Committee of the Telangana Assembly.

Chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on the second day of the budget session moved a condolence motion to pay homage to the departed legislator. He recalled his long association with Ram Reddy as a member of the House and said it was unfortunate that his senior most colleague had died due to cancer. "We have sanctioned Rs70 lakh for his treatment, but unfortunately the killer disease had claimed his life," KCR lamented.

Congress floor leader K. Jana Reddy said Venkat Reddy was non-controversial throughout his politcal career and was friendly with everyone. Minister and Khammam TRS leader Tummala Nageshwara Rao and Dornakal MLA D.S. Redya Naik recalled their long association with the senior leader.

The House was adjourned for the day after Speaker S. Madhusudanachari approved the condolence motion to meet on Saturday.
