Telangana accuses AP of spoiling Vijaya brand; AP admits selling unprocessed milk in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: K Ramakrishna Reddy, Advocate General of Telangana, has argued in Hyderabad High Court that AP had been spoiling the Vijaya brand market in Hyderabad. He said that AP officials were disturbing the dairy market by using the same brand name of Vijaya Milk by selling unprocessed milk under Vijaya brand.

Advocate general of AP Dammalapati Srinivas made representation on behalf of AP government before a division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice U.
Durga Prasad Rao in a petition seeking to declare the GO Ms No 8 issued on May 6, 2016, transferring its assets to Telangana as illegal. He submitted that they were unable to processes their milk at the Lalapet unit as they were not allowed use the facility.
AP has argued that is has rights to use Vijaya brand till bifurcation of the corporation by the Centre. As the Dairy Corporation is yet to be bifurcated, AP can’t sell milk under any other name, but Vijaya brand.
