'Telangana, result of Congress MPs' best efforts'
Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav said that the new state of Telangana is the result of Congress MPs best efforts.
On Friday the MPs convened a meeting and called it ‘Sonia Ki Salam’ at Bhuvanagiri in Nalgonda district to express their gratitude for AICC president Sonia Gandhi for granting them the state of Telangana.
Thousands of activists of Congress party from Telangana region attended the function.
Congress MPs, Komatireddy Rajagopala Reddy and Madhu Yashki Goud, also took part in the meeting.
The MPs said that the Congress MPs played a key role in the bifurcation process of the state.
They criticised TRS leaders for stealing Congress's limelight.
The leaders, who took part in the meeting, said that they will gift 15 Lok Sabha seats and 100 assembly seats to Sonia Gandhi in the next general elections.
The MPs also reminded that about thousand persons had laid down their lives for the formation of Telangana.
