Teenager blackmails girlfriend for money, arrested

Hyderabad: A teenager was arrested on Saturday for blackmailing a girl for money in the city. According to the police, the 19-year-old Mohammed Yaseen met a girl on Facebook and lured her saying he was in love with her.
“The teenager made the girl believe he was in love with her and later demanded money from her blackmailing her that he would tell her parents about their relationship,” police said.
Yaseen had taken Rs. 20,000 in cash and 12 tolas of gold from the girl after blackmailing her. On being questioned by her parents, the girl revealed the ordeal to her parents, following which a case was filed against Yaseen.
The police have recovered Rs. 2 lakh worth gold from the accused.
