Karthik told the police that after he returned home from work on Friday evening, he found his wife and daughter missing. He also found Mounika’s cell phone at home.

Hyderabad: Wife of a city-based techie — Ande Mounika (30) and her three-year-old daughter went missing on Friday. The incident came to light on Saturday when the family members lodged a complaint with the Miyapur police. Karthik from Hyderabad got married to Mounika three years back and the couple along with their daughter were residing in Miyapur.

Karthik told the police that after he returned home from work on Friday evening, he found his wife and daughter missing. He also found Mounika's cell phone at home. Panicked, Karthik called his in-laws and relatives. Following a complaint from Karthik, the police registered a case and launched a hunt to trace the woman. Police are yet to find the reason why she had left her house without informing anyone. Further details are awaited.
